Less than three months to go before the 48th edition of the Geko Ypres Rally, preparations are almost flat out. Organizers announce entries are open from 20 April onwards and at the same time reveal attractive spectator packages. The Geko Ypres Rally, an indisputable classic of both the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and European rally Championship, will take place from 21 until 23 June 2012.
The entry list for the 2012 Geko Ypres Rally will be open on Friday 20 April. As of that day, teams and pilots will be able to register by completing the entry form to be found on the website www.gekoypresrally.com. Pilots wishing to contest the 2012 Geko Ypres Rally should return completed forms to rally organisers. Monday 28 May is the closing date for entries at reduced rate and Friday 8 June at 24h00 is the ultimate closing date. The original entry form must reach the organisers Monday 11 June at the latest.
The organizers would like to remind that no more than 120 cars will be accepted, as cars have to finish the last special stage on Friday before 23h according to local legislation.120 teams is the absolute maximum. Should more than 120 teams register, then there will be a waiting list. Only duly completed entry forms will be accepted by the organizer.
As of now spectators can order their all-stages tickets at the very attractive advance booking rate of 34 Euro. Next to this, a fun package, consisting of an all stages weekend ticket, a rally cap, the Geko Ypres Rally rally-magazine, the rally-poster and some gadgets, can be ordered for 50€. A maximum of 500 fun packages will be available. The tickets and packages can be ordered through the Geko Ypres Rally website.
