The Peking to Paris Motor Challenge is unique in the motoring world – a true endurance motor rally following in the wheel-tracks of the original pioneers of 1907. Driving an old car nearly half way around the world with a bunch of like-minded enthusiasts, against the clock, with the added spice of timed sections, makes Peking to Paris the longest and toughest driving challenge for Vintage and Classic cars.
About this time next week they will have arrived in Paris after 36 days and 15.000 km
But first the closed road stage at Mesen 15:00 and Ypres Stop 16:00 on the 6th of July- and departure 07:30 7th of July, hosted by Ypres Historic Regularity!
The British Rally Championship amazingly sees a tie for the lead after Renties Ypres Rally. Matt Edwards won the British Championship section of Ypres for the 2nd year in a row. This puts him at equal 68 points to Tom Cave. Tie decider? Both have two wins, one second, one retirement, so here we go, it's a tie!

In the Belgian Championship Kris Princen profited most of Renties Ypres Rally, as Abbring and Loix joined the championship for the first time, while i.e. Bedoret and Verschueren retired in the closing stages of the rally:
1st Princen - 76pts
2nd Bedoret - 52
3rd de Mevius - 46
4th Munster - 42
Matt Edwards won the British Rally Championship section of the Ypres Rally for the second year running. It was a drama filled day for the British contenders, but on the last loop Edwards could hold his lead over Tom Cave at just about a minute. 3rd is Alex Laffey.
Craig Breen wins the Renties Ypres Rally. Abbring dropped 25s in the last part of the last stage but still stayed ahead of Princen. Freddy Loix finished a fine 4th on hi one-off comeback with Vanneste making it 4 VW Polos in the top5. Further down the field Kevin Demaerschalk really was on a charge, winning the last 3 stages and taking one-and-a-half minutes out of Tim van Parijs moved Demaerschalk back into the top10 on the very last kilometers.
Let' look into some classes before the last loop:
RC4: James Williams leads from Timo van der Marel by half a min. Next up are Steven Dolfen and Amaury Molle.
NGT: is all Porsches with the top4 in by now clear gaps being Tim van Parijs, Frederic Delplace, Claudie Tanghe and Chris van Woensel.
NCM: Real excitement in this national class. With 4 stages to go the BMW drivers Algoedt and Cokelaere are dominating the field, however Algoedt' lead over Cokelaere is only 7 seconds!
Last service break before the final 4 stages of Renties Ypres Rally 2019. Abbring reduced Breen's lead to 25.5s, though Breen says it is all under control, trying to manage his advantage. Kris Princen completes a VW Polo 1-2-3. Loix moved into 4th following an acident of Sebsatien Bedoret. Further down the field Matt Edwards leads the British competition ahead of a Tom Cave claiming a good points result is now more important rather than risking too much. Exact positions and gaps beyond the top3 need to be confirmed yet after delays in stages 17 and 19. Crews no back at service, getting ready for a virtually hot final
